Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins

The book is okay, but probably not going to be one I reread. Thought because I loved the movies
that I would feel the same about the books. No such luck with that. Hoping the second book is better. This one rates a 3 star for me. I don't know it is just something about it that I didn't like, just can't put my finger on it.

Betrayed (House House of Night #2) by P.C. CAST and KRISTIN CAST

So I am reading this and all I am thinking through the beginning is what the hell Zoey, you have a boyfriend. And he is a faculty member! One of those moments that you wish you could reach through the book and smack some sense into a character. I still don't know what the hell is up with Zoey, but I am liking how this one ended. I hope she can find a solution to the many problems she will be facing in the next book. I am still at shock with who the bad guy is in this book, was not expecting that at all. This book rated a 5 ***** for me. Actually looking forward to continuing the series.

Half-Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Till about the middle of the book I had a like/dislike relationship with this book. But by the end I really Liked it. Will be trying at least the second book in the series to see if it gets better. Since some book series does that. The first will be just OK enough to try the second. So we will see if Jennifer L Armentrout will become another author that I like to read. book rates a 4**** for me.

Marked (House of Night #1) by P.C. CAST AND KRISTIN CAST

This is new Authors for me and a really good read. This was a book that I had trouble putting down. Different twist on vampyres (Not a misspelling it is how they spell vampyers in the book) The rating for this one is 5 ***** for me. Definite reread and definitely continuing the series.

Beastly Bones (Jackaby #2) by William Ritter

Jackaby is as interesting as ever in the second book n the series. This book is better than the first one so if you weren't fond of the first book in the series you should try one more book just to be sure. Seems a better second book happens more often than not. This book rates a 5 ***** for me, 1 * higher than Jackaby (1st in the series) did.

Theirs to Defy (Marriage Lottery #4) by Stasia Black

Love hate relationship going on with these characters, all of them are bull headed. It's there way or not at all. Rating this book a 4**** though regardless of the stubborn characters it is a good book. However it does seem to drag on a bit in places.

The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer My life at Rose Red by Joyce Reardon

I wasn't sure about the diary style writing at first, but it's pretty good. Unless you are a person that likes to read multiple books at a time or don't mind slow starting books I wouldn't recommend this book for you. My rating is a 3 *** for this book. Liking reading about rose red from Ellen's perspective.

House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires # 7) by Chloe Neill

Oh my God Ethan Sullivan is one aggravating man, Stubbornness isn't always a good thing. Thankfully Merit have the stubbornness to match with some to spare. It will be interesting to read what the GP will do with the heroic rescue from Cadogen house. Will they still be enemies or let things lie. Time will tell, hopefully in the next book. This book is a 5 ***** for me (Only books that get 5 ***** for me are the ones I will reread)

Their Bride (Marriage Lottery # 3) by Stasia Black & A.S. Green

As far as the characters go Vanessa has by far been my favorite among the women characters. Logan: I get he was grieving but it had been years and Vanessa deserved to be treated better than that. Cam came around pretty quick in the beginning of the story, and it was pretty obvious that his attitude was just a front. Riordan: I had trouble figuring that character out. The decent guys of the group seemed to be Ross and Michael. This was my favorite book in the series so far. Had a surprise at the end of the book. This book Rates a 5 ***** for me like most if not all of the books in this series I have read so far and I can't wait to start the new one with Drea's story, with her attitude about the Marriage lottery this one will be an amusing read I think.

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

This book has you shaking your head sometimes at how cruel and stupid people can be when they are young, smiling at times and for me crying for the last 40 pages. This was the fist time I had read Nicholas Sparks and I am happy I picked this as the first novel to read by him. Regardless of the stuffy nose and tears flowing once I finished. Even with how much it had me crying I would still pick this book up to read it again. Though I may need a bit of recover time before I do that. Absolutely loved this book. This book rates 5***** for me.

Interview with a Vampire (Vampire Chronicles #1) by Anne Rice

This book rates the rare 1 * for me. I couldn't finish this one which I hate doing. I just didn't like the fact that it was slow starting and a lot back n forth between the interviewer and interviewee.

Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires # 6) by Chloe Neill

The 6th novel in the series had a lot more going on than the last one did. This book got my interest and kept it the whole book. This has me wondering what will happen with Cadogen House Vampires after this. Can't wait to find out in the 7th book in the series. This book rates a 5 ***** for me.

Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires #5) by Chloe Neill

The whole book I was thinking that it was good enough to continue and finish, but I wasn't as fond of this book in the series as I was previously. Ending of the fourth book in the series made me mad. As the 5th book in the series the end of it surprised the hell out of me. I am anxious to continue and find out what happens next in this series. This book rates a 4 **** for me.

Jackaby (Jackaby # 1) by William Ritter

This is not my usual read, usually read a lot of paranormal romance, regular romance with some erotica thrown in. But this is pretty good. Reminds me of Sherlock Holmes with a bit of a paranormal twist. Though I wasn't much of a fan of the Sherlock Holmes books. This book was a surprising 4 **** rating for me.
